Charter
The Central Charlotte County Drainage District is operated under Chapter 298 of the Florida Statutes as a Drainage and Water Control District.
The District was established by Order of the Circuit Court of the Twentieth Judicial Circuit in and for Charlotte County, Florida, Case No. 5710, dated January 6, 1966. The Order and creation of the District was ratified by Special Act of the Florida Legislature as Chapter 69-932 on July 3, 1969.
The boundaries of the Central Charlotte County Drainage District were modified by Final Judgment entered on May 25, 1993 in Case No. 92-45- CA of the Circuit Court of the Twentieth Judicial Circuit in and for Charlotte County, Florida. The description of the current boundaries is hereafter noted.
The corporate existence of the Central Charlotte County Drainage District was extended to January 6, 2026 by Order entered on December 14, 1994 in Case No. 5710 of the Circuit Court of the Twentieth Judicial Circuit in and for Charlotte County, Florida.
